The big box sat on the table all afternoon. It was one of those things... everyone who walked by it touched it and looked around to wondering who had received such a thing in the mail. Surly it was important... it was big and there were words like Intel on it... At last the Phantom trudged in from a long day and no lunch. She seemed to forget all about hunger when she saw the box.
"IT'S HERE!"
Now every creature knew what this must be... it is the new toy. Off with the packing tape and away with all the cardboard and packing to keep the thing secure.
Gweenie watches with great interest as the thing is set on the desk and it unfolds into an upright position. It seems rather small... A little click and the thing glows.
"We haf one of doze," she points out looking at the big glowing box on the desk.
"Nooooo..." explains the Phantom, That is a PC, this is a laptop."
"It not on your lap."
"Well no, it would get too hot."
"Laptop not one of doze and not for lap? Otay... what's dis?" She holds up one of the white things that fell out of the box.
"That is a packing peanut," mutters the Phantom. She continues to click and peer into the little glowing thing.
"Mmmmmmm me likes peanut!"
"NO! Don't eat that! Sheeeesh!" Now the poor little creature looks really confused.
"Don't eat the peanut? Why? It rotten?"
"No Gweenie, they just call them peanuts, they look like them, but they are for packing things when you ship them." So, the little creatures sits quietly while the little box glows and beeps and the Phantom smiles. She pulls the protection tape off of the little panel.
"What dat... tape?"
"Yeah, but it doesn't stick."
"Tape no sticks? Maybe you lick it."
Between the new system and the 20 question game going on with the little creature, a Phantom's patience begins to fade. She reaches deep into her robes and pulls out a purkle super ball.
"See this?"
"Yessssssssssssssssh," says Gweenie.
"It's all yours, if you can catch it." The ball bounces off with the little critter right behind it. Maybe that will occupy her for awhile. NOW... where is the Control Panel on this thing?
